I cannot tell you enough how good this book is - after ploughing through trees of print, here is one that just gets to the point and is interesting as well. It is also set out so that you do not have to read the first half to understand one page near the end.
Very readable, even just for information. People without problems should find the details in this text interesting and good guidance.

Title : How to Stop Heartburn: Simple Ways to Heal Heartburn and Acid Reflux
Author : Anil Minocha
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Excellent Book for Acid Reflux Sufferers
As a 4-year sufferer of acid reflux I found this book a mine of useful information. I now understand what Acid Reflux is and how to change my life style.
This book also gave me the ability to discuss the problem with my doctor, on a more equal footing.
When the muscle that is supposed to prevent stomach acid from escaping up into the esophagus gets to weak to do its job and the acid keeps on gushing back to the esophagus, that is called acid reflux. It is a lot like heart burn but a lot more uncomfortable as generally there is much more acids and pepsins pushing back to the esophagus.
If you must eat at a fast food restaurant even though it is best avoided if you suffer with acid reflux, then choose their grilled options, like grilled chicken. The most inappropriate choices are fries and burgers. In addition, fried chicken is not that great for you as well.
It is worth cutting back on tomato based foods like chilli, pasta and pizza sauces with tomatoes in it as tomatoes are known to cause an increase in stomach acids, which in turn can trigger heartburn and GERD symptoms.
