This book is very informative, explaining the causes, treatments, and even the long-range effects of continuing heartburn. It educated me to where I was able to discuss my condition knowledgeably with my physician and had no "fear of the unknown" when it came time to begin treatment.

This is an excellent book for people who are interested in digestive disorders. It offers practical advice in how to cure them in simple non-technical language. A great book for student nutritionists such as myself.
It is worth cutting back on tomato based foods like chilli, pasta and pizza sauces with tomatoes in it as tomatoes are known to cause an increase in stomach acids, which in turn can trigger heartburn and GERD symptoms.
If you were ever looking for an excuse not to eat your potatoes acid reflux can give you the help you need. Potatoes and onions are among the biggest culprits for acid reflux and heartburn, as far as vegetables go.
